Painting has always been where my heart belongs. From the moment I could hold a pencil, I saw the world as a canvas waiting to be explored. As a child, I spent hours recreating my father's sketches, comic books, and magazine illustrations. During periods of illness, drawing became both a refuge and a way to express myself. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for art.

I studied architecture for my undergraduate degree, a decision that profoundly shaped the way I see and paint the world. Alongside receiving recognition in state and national-level art competitions, I developed a deep understanding of design, form, proportion, perspective, and the relationship between light and shadow. During this time, I immersed myself in the works of masters such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and J. M. W. Turner, studying not only their techniques but also the way they observed and interpreted the world.

Architecture continues to influence every aspect of my artistic practice. It taught me to see beyond the surface—to understand structure, rhythm, balance, and the emotional impact of space. My paintings explore the relationship between design, form, light, and shadow through bold architectural compositions. Working with expressive, gestural brushstrokes and an economy of detail, I seek to capture the atmosphere and character of a place rather than its exact appearance. Cityscapes, aerial views, bridges, flyovers, and urban landscapes are recurring subjects in my work, where dramatic light and bold architectural forms become the primary language of expression.

After graduation, I worked as an architect, but the demands of professional life never diminished my desire to paint. Every free moment found its way back to the studio. In 2017, I made the life-changing decision to step away from my career and take a two-year sabbatical to study and practice art full-time. It was a defining chapter in my journey, allowing me to deepen my practice and fully embrace painting as my life's work.

Today, my work brings together the precision of architecture and the freedom of expressive painting. I am fascinated by the way light transforms built environments, revealing new moods, rhythms, and emotions. Through bold brushwork, strong architectural forms, and dramatic contrasts of light and shade, I aim to create paintings that invite viewers to experience familiar urban landscapes in a new and deeply personal way.
